Wright was a very common name in Mobberley although by 1911 many families had moved or married away.
Richard (born in 1791) and Mary Wright lived at Wall (Waugh) Brow in Smith Lane in 1841. Their son Samuel married Ann Wright from Knolls Green (perhaps a cousin) in 1862. After living in Plumley they returned to take over the farm from his parents before 1891 and were still there in 1911. Samuel's brother (Benjamin) married Sarah Ellen from Ashley and lived at Baguley Green. Samuel's son, also Samuel, born in 1872 while they were in Plumley, married Annie Edith in 1902 and moved to Barnshaw Farm .
The other 1911 Wright family had recently arrived. Samuel and Fanny moved to the Knutsford Road. Their son Reginald Horace Wright served in the Great War and was a horse dealer living at Woodbine Cottage. Reginald's son Joe still lives there having inherited it from his two maiden Aunts
