There are several Norbury familes recorded in the census returns between 1841 and 1911.
In 1841 James and Sophia Norbury were at Dicken House (long gone but once on Burleyhurst Lane near Benkeyhurst Farm). Their son James born in 1827 in Ollerton married Susannah and took over the farm by 1861. Their two sons John and James both had large farming families. James was at Woodend in 1881 but took his family away to Catton in Derbyshire after 1885. Interestingly his son Joseph, born in 1878 is recorded on Mobberley's Roll of Honour
James's brother John married Betsy Bell at St Wilfrid's in 1879. In 1881 he was an Inn Keeper at Knolls Green (the Bird in Hand) but by 1891 was at Dairy Farm in Church Lane where his descendents still farm. John and Betsy had nine children. James married Annie Moreton in 1914. George died of diabetes in 1909. Samuel was killed in WW1 as was his brother Robert. John married Maud Walkden in 1909. Hannah married Percy Blackburn in 1915. Joseph never married and died in 1986. Betsy married Ernest Pennington in 1921 and Arthur who survived the war married Frances Hewitt in 1927.
