Campbell-Dicker
Gerald Campbell-Dicker came to Mobberley with his family from St John's Birkenhead when he exchanged livings with Herbert Leigh Mallory. The reasons for this are not clear although it seems that they are hinted at in the book by Peter and Leni Gillman.
Gerald was born in London on 12th May 1853 and married Frances Margaret Millington in 1877. They had four children, three born in Birkenhead and the last in Mobberley. He was a graduate of Trinity College Cambridge and served as Rector until 1931. He retired to Church Moor Hall in Church Stretton and died on 13th November 1949 at Tilford Way, Greenhill Road, Farnham in Surrey.
Their first child, Gerald Wyndham was born in 1902. In 1927 he was living at 12 College Street and an Assistant Master at the School. In 1937 he married Mary F Harland and they had at least two children: David, born in 1938 and Felicity M born in 1941. In 1962 it appears that she was a nurse at St Thomas Hospital in London.
Margaret Faith was born in 1903 but died aged 24 in Mobberley
Helen Hope was born in 1903, presumably a twin, and married Roger Alwyn Henniker Gotley in 1931. In 1940 he was the Head of the Sebright School in Wolverley near Kidderminster. Helen died in 1995 in the Salisbury area. Their sons Anthony born in 1932 and Hugh born in 1938 dropped the Henniker surname prefix.
Frances Marion was born in 1907 and died in 2000 in Surrey. It appears she didn't marry.
