The Leech name appears in most Mobberley census records but the two families living through the latter half of the 19th century both moved away. The current Leech family, represented by Bill Leech at Town Lane Hall Farm came from Allostock to Gleave House after 1881. William born in 1854 in Allostock married Ruth Wilkinson of Peover in 1883. They had at least nine children. it was Edward, born in 1890 who married Amy Walkden in 1923 and their son Bill who is at Town Lane Hall was born in 1926.

Standing to their right is Alma who was engaged to Robert Norbury of Dairy Farm, killed in the Great War. She then married a lad from Upton. One of her sons served with the Desert Rats in WW2. Standing in front of them are Jane who married and moved to Graveyard Farm and then Culcheth; Edward (Bill Leech's father) and George. Seated are Caroline (Carrie), Bill who didn't get on with Edward, and Richard.
