There were two different Hulme households in Mobberley in 1911.
Albert from Knutsford married Maria Ann Blackshaw of Mobberley in 1897 and settled in Cherry Lane (no longer called this but Damson Lane used to run on to Cherry House, now demolished). In 1911 he ran the post office in Mill Lane. Their son George Blackshaw Hulme enlisted in 1915 and was mobilized in 1917 with the Worcestershire Yeomanry. He served in France and was discharged in 1920. He later ran the post office. His Great Grand-daughters Margaret and Jacqueline still live in Mobberley

The other Hulmes were descended from Nathan and Mary (Hickson) who moved to Commonside near Saltersley, possibly what became known as Mossways Cottage, before 1851. Their son Andrew was born in 1852 and married Martha B Wych in 1875. Their address thereafter is variously called Mossways Cottage and Lindow (End). Walter Ernest was born in 1876 and lived with his widowed father at Mossways Cottage in 1911. He married Alice from Manchester . Their daughter Beatrice married Daniel Bradley in 1922. Their son Allen Andrew married Gertrude Hannah Jones in 1930..
