William Pennington was born in Eaton in Cheshire around 1806 and married to Ann in 1851 when they were living in Town Lane. Their son Peter married Elizabeth Hannah Appleby and lived at Hall Bank where in 1911 they still lived at No. 5. Their son Peter born in 1891 married Catherine Ann Jones from Wrexham in 1909 and lived in Hall Lane. Peter's three brothers Arthur, William Thompson and Ernest all served in the Great War. William was killed.
